2010 Valentine's Day Shipping

Yes, it's true That's Caring is offering free ground shipping on Valentines Day Edition Mookies in "naughty" or "nice" that are pre-ordered by February 5th at 5 pm. Pre-ordered Mookies will be shipped out week of February 8th with guaranteed delivery by Friday, February 12th.

All other Valentines Day orders must be placed by Saturday, February 7th by 5 pm in order for guaranteed delivery by Friday, February 12th.

2009 Graphic Design Award

That's Caring congratulates their friends at Pepper Group for winning a total of five 2009 Graphic Design awards, one of which is for the That's Caring website. The Pepper Group states, "The That’s Caring site combines information about the eco-friendly gift basket provider’s green products with friendly tips for living an overall earth-conscious lifestyle. Running for Chicago Gateway Green

That's Caring co-founder Jamie Pritscher will be running in the Chicago Marathon and 5K on September 13, 2009. Jamie will be running to support Chicago Gateway Green and their effort to keep Chicago green for generations to come.

To date Chicago Gateway Green is responsible for:

• Planting 77,000 shrubs
• Planting 3,000 trees
• Planting 71,000 perennials
• Removing 495,000 lbs of litter

On Saturday, April 18th,the That's Caring team sponsored and helped to enlist volunteers for the annual Friends of the Park Earth Day Clean Up. Over 130 volunteers participated in the event that helped to restore and clean up Busse Woods Groves 24 & 25. The volunteers picked up trash, mulched trees and cut down buckthorn. Overall, the event was a success and That's Caring is thankful for all the wonderful volunteers!

On Saturday, November 1st,the That's Caring team in conjuction with Friends of the Park was back at it again helping to cut down buckthorn and restore Busse Woods. Armed with hand saws, loppers and a great group of co-workers, friends and family the team was able to help clear a large amount of buckthorn from Busse Woods Grove #19 restoring yet another grove back to it's natural beauty!

On Saturday, April 19th, the That's Caring team enlisted a group of twenty plus volunteers to participate in the annual Earth Day Parks and Preserves Clean up organized by Friends of the Parks.

The That's Caring volunteers were educated by Friends of the Park about buckthorn and how to properly remove it. Buckthorn is the plant that overgrows forest preserve trees eventually killing them and we don't want that! Within four hours time the That's Caring volunteers had cleared the buckthorn and picked up trash restoring Busse Woods Grove #32 to its natural beauty.
